Not every urea fault needs a delete. If your dash has thrown a urea or SCR warning for the first time, or you’re still under manufacturer warranty, fixing the single failed component is usually the smarter move  it keeps the emissions system standard and your MOT compliant, with no ECU software changes.

We carry out urea repair across London, diagnosing on-site before any part gets ordered or any price agreed.

FULL UREA SERVICE CALLOUT INCLUDES

How Urea Repair Works in London

01

Pinpoint the actual failed part

Live data and fault codes confirm whether it’s the level sensor, quality sensor, dosing pump, heater circuit, injector or a wiring fault  confirmed, not assumed.

02

Price it before we touch anything

One number for parts and labour, agreed with you first. What we quote is what you pay.

03

Replace the failed component only

The rest of your urea/SCR system stays untouched and fully OEM-matched  nothing swapped unnecessarily.

04

Clear the fault history

Old codes wiped, warning lights and limp mode reset once the new part’s confirmed working.

05

Verify correct dosing

A road test checks the repair holds under real driving conditions, not just on the bench.

06

Report, warranty, and a direct line

Job card and part warranty emailed same day, with a technician you can actually call if something comes up.

Urea System Repair Questions, Answered Honestly

Repairing the urea/SCR system properly is what we recommend for almost every road-going vehicle that comes to us. Here's what customers ask before booking a repair specifically.

It depends on the failure. Some faults are down to a worn seal, a stuck non-return valve, or a seized motor from crystallised urea, which can genuinely be stripped, cleaned and rebuilt. Others — particularly electronic control failures inside the module aren't economical or reliable to repair at component level and are better replaced as a complete unit. We open it up, diagnose what's actually failed, and only recommend a full replacement where a repair genuinely won't hold.
Both, depending on the part and your budget. For sensors and smaller components we generally fit new genuine or OEM-equivalent parts. For pumps and dosing modules, a properly refurbished unit is often a reliable, lower-cost alternative to a new one, and we're upfront about which you're getting and what cover applies to it. If you specifically want new-only parts, tell us and we'll quote accordingly.
Usually, yes. Chafed, corroded, or rodent-damaged wiring to the tank, pump or sensors is one of the more common causes of intermittent urea faults, and in most cases we can trace the damaged section, repair or splice it properly with correctly rated connectors and sleeving, and test it under load rather than replacing an entire harness. A full harness replacement is only needed where the damage is extensive or the loom itself has failed internally.
In most cases, yes if the physical components are still fitted, we can reinstate the ECU software to standard and repair or replace whatever originally failed to trigger the delete in the first place. If parts were physically removed, we'll need to source and refit them as part of the job. This comes up more than you'd think usually when a vehicle needs to pass an MOT or go through a fleet compliance check after a previous delete.
We test live sensor data, dosing pressure, and injector activity against expected values before replacing anything, rather than swapping parts based on a fault code alone a stored code often points at a symptom (like a NOx reading out of range) rather than confirming which component caused it. This takes a bit longer at the diagnostic stage but means you're not paying for parts that were never the problem.
Often, yes, though it depends on the fault and the parts route we take. Dealers typically quote new genuine parts at dealer labour rates and sometimes replace a full module where a component-level repair would do. We're happy to look at a dealer quote alongside our own diagnosis if the fault matches what they've found, we'll tell you honestly whether our repair route is likely to save you money or not.
Parts we fit are covered against manufacturing defects, and if the fault we diagnosed and repaired recurs shortly afterwards, we'll come back and investigate under the original job rather than charging a fresh call-out fee. If a different, unrelated fault develops later, that's treated as a new job we'll always explain which situation applies before doing further work.
A sensor or wiring repair is often finished within an hour of diagnosis. A pump, module, or injector repair or replacement usually takes longer, particularly if parts need sourcing rather than being carried as stock on the van. Where we don't have the exact part with us, we'll tell you at quote stage and arrange a follow-up visit as soon as it's in.
