FORD ADBLUE SPECIALISTS

Ford AdBlue Fault Repair in London & Midlands | From £249

We repair AdBlue and SCR faults on Ford diesels, EcoBlue and TDCi engines alike, fitted across the Transit range, Focus, Mondeo, Kuga and Ranger. That covers pressure faults, dosing faults, injector faults, heater circuit failures, NOx sensor errors and the mileage countdown warning. Every job starts with a full diagnosis, so the part that has actually failed is the part we repair. We cover London and the Midlands, plus Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Ford AdBlue Repair Services

Professional Ford AdBlue system diagnostics and repair, focused on identifying the underlying fault and restoring the system correctly. From AdBlue faults and NOx sensor issues to SCR system problems, resets, and related repairs, we use proper diagnostic equipment to address the cause rather than simply clearing the warning.

01

Once the cause is confirmed, we repair the pump, injector, heater circuit, sensor or wiring that has failed, aiming for a fix that holds rather than a temporary reset.

02

Clearing the codes and resetting the system once the real fault has been fixed, which is the only way a reset holds.

03

A full scan and live data check to find the exact cause of the warning, countdown or SCR fault before any repair is recommended.

04

Advice and support for suitable vehicles where an AdBlue bypass is being considered, with legal requirements and intended use taken into account.

05

For Fords already showing the “engine will not restart” mileage warning. We find and repair the fault behind it and clear the countdown so the vehicle keeps starting.

06

Testing the NOx sensors and SCR catalyst readings to find out whether a sensor, an injector or a dosing fault is behind the warning.

AdBlue Warning Lights and Countdown Messages

Ford vans and cars display AdBlue warnings a little differently depending on the model, but the pattern of escalation is the same across the range.

Ford AdBlue Fault Codes We Repair

These are the AdBlue and SCR fault codes we see most on Ford diesels, particularly the EcoBlue Transit and Transit Custom range.

Our Ford AdBlue Repair Process

Step1

Read the live SCR data We connect diagnostic equipment and read the stored codes plus live pressure, dosing and sensor values, so we see what the system is doing right now, not only what it saved.

Step 2

Test the pump and injector — We check that the pump builds pressure and the injector sprays correctly, and look for leaks or crystal build up, common on high mileage Transits.

Step 3

Check the NOx sensors and wiring  —We compare readings before and after the catalyst and check the plugs and wiring near the exhaust for water and heat damage.

Step 4

Repair, reset and confirm  — We repair the failed part, clear the codes, adapt any new component and confirm the system doses correctly with the countdown cleared.

Ford Models We Cover

We repair AdBlue and SCR faults on Ford diesel vans and cars fitted with an AdBlue system, mainly 2016 EcoBlue onwards. Transit and Transit Custom make up most of our Ford jobs, so those are listed first.

Ford AdBlue FAQs

A low level warning and a fault warning are two different things. If the warning stays on after a top up, the vehicle has usually found a fault such as a failed NOx sensor, a weak pump or a quality issue with the fluid. Topping up will not clear it, and the fault needs diagnosing.

Vans doing frequent short trips or sitting outside overnight are more exposed to fluid quality faults and heater circuit issues than cars doing longer, steadier mileage. P207F and P20EE are two of the most common codes we see on the EcoBlue Transit range.

The vehicle shows a mileage countdown, and once it reaches zero the engine will not restart after you switch it off. For a van, that means it is off the road until the fault is repaired, so it is best to get it checked well before the countdown ends.

Yes, until the countdown ends, but we do not recommend waiting. Some faults put the vehicle into limp mode with reduced power, and a small fault can turn into a bigger repair if it is left.

Yes. The NOx sensors let the vehicle measure how well the SCR system is cleaning the exhaust. If a sensor fails or sends wrong readings, the vehicle can show an AdBlue warning even when the tank is full and the pump is working.

AdBlue freezes at about minus 11 degrees Celsius. The tank has a heater to thaw it, and vans that sit outside overnight put more strain on that heater circuit than vehicles kept in a garage. A warning that comes and goes with the weather points to the heater or the fluid state.

They form when AdBlue dries instead of spraying cleanly, often because the injector is not working properly or the vehicle does mostly short trips. The crystals can block the injector and cause dosing faults, so it needs cleaning or replacing.

Yes. Diluted or contaminated fluid can trigger a quality fault such as P207F, one of the most common Ford AdBlue codes. We test the concentration and, if needed, flush the system and refill with AdBlue to ISO 22241.

Only if the fault is gone. If the cause is still there, the warning returns soon after. That is why we repair the fault first and reset afterwards.

Repairs start from £249. The final price depends on what the diagnosis finds, because a sensor, a pump and an injector job do not cost the same.

We work on the Ford diesel range fitted with AdBlue, including the Transit, Transit Custom, Transit Connect and Ranger vans, and the Focus, Fiesta, Mondeo, Kuga, EcoSport, S-Max and Galaxy cars.

We cover London, the Midlands, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Send us your postcode and we will confirm availability.
